Vintage Jewelry & Fashion

When it comes to the absolute best in vintage and rare antiques, The Old Junk Trunk has a veritable treasure trove of gorgeous finds to offer. As a child, I was surrounded by women who had a penchant for dressing beautifully. My aunts and grandmothers were “fashionistas” well before the term was even a thought. Their beautiful necklaces, brooches and hats always fascinated me. Little did I know that, one day, I would inherit some of their most prized possessions and have the unique opportunity to share them with others. My Etsy shop is filled with fanciful vintage jewelry and antiques from my family to yours. It also is brimming with some of the treasures I have acquired in my various hunts for riches from bygone eras.

As a mother to three beautiful children, I specialize in rare vintage goods and antiques. My wish is to instill the same love for vintage, which was infused into my very being from such a tender age, into the hearts of my own children. I enjoy making handmade jewelry as well including beaded necklaces and earrings. I learned jewelry making from the very same women who left me their treasures.

As a businesswoman, I also manage a natural soap company while running a cement art business with my husband. We create garden stepping stones, decorative stools and small tables from our home studio. Don’t be surprised if we soon offer our custom handmade creations on Etsy in the near future!

Buy the Best Vintage Estate Jewelry Online!!

Wow, It's amazing what types and styles of jewelry craftsman can make with Rhinestones, I've seen it all. You can not beat the designs of Shiaparelli, Juliana, D&E, Miriam Haskell, Sherman...and so many more great top costume jewelry designers. Those pieces signed by good designers are worth the extra money and investment. If you are planning to invest in designer pieces unsigned...be very cautious, do the extra investigating and work to determine a genuine piece. Beware of too much wear and tear on a piece, missing stones, damage, and also be aware if a piece looks to new. There are not many pieces that have no wear, Vintage jewelry sellers refer to there jewelry based on "Vintage Condition"...Great Vintage Condition, Good Vintage Condition, any lower than that is junk. Now junk isn't bad if you are an expert in fixing these pieces or crafting them into something else. So Just thought I'd leave you with some tidbits of information in your Vintage Jewelry Search.

Vintage Shops - Learn How to Promote Etsy for free or Low Cost

The diversity of all the vintage shops on Etsy is wide, so I can not emphasize enough to market, market, market!! Keep your shops filled up with atleast 150 items, nice bright pictures, and collectable items of interest. If you can not make any more than $10 on an item well is it really worth your time and energy to sell? Then you have to consider the shipping...always make sure it is reasonable and never try to make money off your shipping. Most people will recognize and go out of your shop right away.
So marketing your shop, well you should have a few resources that are reasonably priced or free, so here are some you can look into:
First always sign up for Pin Interest (pininterest.com) to pin your items in Etsy, there is a link to "Pin It" on the right side of your Etsy Item Page.
Next sign up for Twitter (twitter.com) tweet your new Etsy items, the "Tweet" Link is beside the "Pin It" link on your Shop listing.
Now Facebook (facebook.com) you must have a Facebook shop that matches your Etsy Shop name (or close) and links to your Etsy Shop.

These three things above are the most important: some other avenues to look into are Blogger, Shoply, Soopsee, Art Fire, Handmade Spark.

Two great advertisers that I have found gave me alot of hits to my store are: Shabby Cottage Shops (Shabbycottageshops.com)  Shabby Lane Shops (shabbylaneshops.com) now these cost a considerable amount of money but it does pay for itself if you have really great items, and lots of items in your Etsy Shop.

Well I hope this helps somebody out there, and I can not emphasize enough: market your Etsy Shop as much as possible, you can get cheap business cards at (Vistaprint.ca) and send them out to customers, or post them around town, hand them out to people. Everything is possible.
